Saturday GAA Round-Up

West Clare Gaels are now just one more victory away from an All Ireland Final.

That’s following their victory in London today, against the home side Parnells, running out 4-12 to 2-8 winners.

They had made a poor start to the game, trailing 1-4 to 0-1 after fifteen minutes but pulled back to take a one point lead into the break, thanks in part to a goal from brid Troy.

They were then comfortably the better team in the second half, with Majella Griffen, Niamh Lardner and Katie Geoghan all scoring to give them the crucial victory and a spot in the All Ireland semi final

Newmarket on Fergus missed out on the Munster Intermediate Camogie Championship today

They lost out 5-5 to 0-11 to Lismore of Waterford

Meanwhile in news of hurling, and despite a late fightback, Killanena lost out to Borrisokane by a single point, 2-14 to 3-10 the final score in Sixmilebridge.

Mark Flaherty scored 2-6 for the East Clare men, who played much of the second half with 14 men.

Also today, Crusheen were victors in the Clare Junior A Championship Final.

They beat Newmarket in a final scoreline of 0-13 to 1-09.
