Newmarket-on-Fergus have secured top spot in Group 2 of the Clare Senior A Hurling Championship.
In an even affair at Cusack Park, last year's beaten finalists ran out 1-17 to 1-13 winners over Clarecastle thanks in part to an early first-half goal from Stephen Kelly.
Despite their loss, Clarecastle are also in the Quarter-Finals of the competition.
Today's other games were dead rubbers.
Clonlara beat Clooney/Quin 1-21 to 1-17 in Sixmilebridge to keep up their 100% record in Group 1, while also recording three wins out of three are Eire Og, who won the final game of their group 1-23 to 1-16 against Ruan.
At 6:30, Cratloe and Crusheen bring an end to the group stage as they meet at Cusack Park.
