Shannon Dismissing Talks Of Double Delight As Townies Bid For Clare SHC Final Spot

Eire Óg manager Mattie Shannon insists no one in their camp is entertaining any talk of a potentially historic sweep of Clare senior hurling and football crowns.

With the football contingent safely through to the county final, focus this week turns to their hurling counterparts joining them as they take on Inagh-Kilnamona in their last four showdown.

The Townies haven’t been in the hurling final since losing out to Sixmilebridge in 2000, while their last Canon Hamilton crown came in 1990.

Shannon says there is only one thing on their minds this weekend, and talks of the double are far from their thoughts.
