Cratloe lost All Star forward Conor McGrath just minutes into the contest after he was given a straight red card for an off the ball incident.

The Bridge goaled through the boot of Alan Mulready midway through the half which left them 1-7 to 0-4 in front, but the champions responded strongly as Sean Collins netted a brilliant individual goal minutes later.

Cathal Malone had the final point of the opening half to leave the Bridge 1-9 to 1-8 ahead at the break.

They started the second half strongly, and with ten minutes to play, the 2013 champions led by 1-19 to 1-15.

Cratloe responded once more, with Liam Markham central to their plans, and with time almost up the gap was back to a single point.

In a tense finish, Sixmilebridge held firm and clinched the tightest of wins.

They now face Crusheen in the last four, while Kilmaley will meet Clonlara
