The 117th staging of the South of Ireland Golf Championship is getting underway in Lahinch this morning.
150 of the leading amatuer golfers in the country have descended on the North Clare town for the longest running provincial golf tournament.
Lahinch will make more history in 2019 when the course plays host to the Irish Open with the likes of Paul McGinley, Darren Clarke and Graeme McDowell all previous winners of the South of Ireland.
