Support Pours In For Michael Schumacher

Well-known names from across the sporting world have been showing their support for Michael Schumacher, who is in a coma after a skiing accident in France yesterday.

Jenson Button, Martin Brundle and Damon Hill are among the Formula One stars past and present who have wished the seven-time World Champion well.

Rio Ferdinand and Michael Owen are also amongst the non-racing fraternity to wish Schumacher well.

Schumacher is still in a critical condition in hospital in France with head injuries, after undergoing surgery on arrival at the University Hospital in Grenoble and he is said to be "fighting for his life".

Schumacher is one of the greatest Formula One drivers of all time, with a record 91 race wins in his career.

The first of his seven Formula One titles came in 1994, with his last coming in 2004.

He retired in 2006, before returning in 2010 with Mercedes and retiring again in 2012.

His former teammate at Benneton Martin Brundle says, while Schumacher loved the adrenaline rush of skiing, he wasn’t taking a big risk yesterday.
