Clare ladies football boss Evan Talty feels his side paid the price for missed chances as their All Ireland campaign came to an end.
Westmeath repelled a late Banner surge as they kicked the last two points of the game to seal a 3-11 to 2-11 win in their intermediate quarter final showdown.
Clare had fought back from an eight point deficit to reduce the gap to the minimum in the final quarter, but four late wides proved costly as the Leinster side held out.
