The 16 teams in the hunt for Jack Daly are putting the finishing touches on their preparations for the opening round of this year’s Clare Senior Football Championship.
Heading into the second year of the competition’s revised format, eight games will be held over the Bank Holiday weekend, with six of those set for Saturday.

One of those is the match-up of Wolfe Tones and St. Senan’s, Kilkee and comes just days after the Shannon side beat their West Clare rivals to secure promotion to next year’s Garry Cup competition.
Manager Mike Riordan says they’re now putting that behind them, and focussing on this new challenge with survival the order of the day.
