It's been confirmed that AP McCoy will ride the JP McManus-owned Carlingford Lough in his final Gold Cup at Cheltenham.

McCoy who won the race in 1997 and 2012 confirmed the news himself this morning.

The 40 year old 19 time champion jockey is retiring this year but hasn't announced when his final race will be.

Shane Jennings has announced that he will retire at the end of the season.

The 33 year old Leinster back row says it's been on his mind for a while and the decision hasn't been taken lightly.

Jennings enjoyed a successful spell at Leicester earlier in his career winning a Premiership title.

Several of the extended Six Nations squad have been selected in Leinsters starting 15 for tomorrows Guinness Pro 12 clash with Zebre at the RDS.
