Eire Og take on Kilrush Shamrocks this Friday night, just five days after they missed out on a spot in the final of the Cusack Cup, by virtue of thir 2-point loss to St. Joseph’s Doora-Barefield.

Townies manager James Hanrahan admits the result and performance are both disappointments for his team, but he’s hopeful it will act as a wake-up call for his side

Action in the Clare Senior Football Championship begins on Friday, and then continues with more action on Saturday, including the clash of Ennistymon and St. Joseph’s Miltown.

Ennistymon have tasted much success at underage level in recent years, but that hasn’t translated itself into joy at senio level as of yet.

Cathal Crowe, of the Ennistymon management team, says changing that this year is a key goal
