U21s Surprised by Antrim’s Display

Clare joint U21 manager Donal Moloney admits he was surprised by the Antrim performance during Saturday's All Ireland semi final win.

The Banner strolled to a 4-28 to 1-10 win, an margin of 27 points, 5 more than when they last met in the 2013 All Ireland U21 Final.

Moloney says he was expecting a stronger challenge from Kevin Ryan's men.

That win sets up an All Ireland Final showdown against Wexford on September 13th.

The Slaneysiders had two points to spare over Galway, winning by 1-21 to 1-19.

Meanwhile, the GAA says next weeks All Ireland semi final re-play will remain in Limerick despite the objections of Mayo county board.

The Connacht champions drew 1-16 apiece with Kerry in Croke Park yesterday but the replay has been scheduled for the Gaelic grounds as Croke Park is being used for an American football match on Saturday and Donegal against Dublin on Sunday.

The GAA says they can't schedule the replay for Saturday week in Croke Park in case there is another draw between the teams.
