Michael van Gerwen won the PDC World Championship last night.
The Dutchman beat Scotland’s Peter Wright 7-4 in the final at London’s Alexandra Palace – he had been 4 sets up at one point but held off a tough fightback from his opponent to clinch his first title, and the world number 1 spot.
