Whyte On Top In Antarctica

An Ennis runner has won one of the most extreme races in the world.

Keith Whyte was victorious in the Antarctic 100km race, which has been held in testing conditions of -10 degrees in one of the world's most remote places.

He finished the course in 9 hours and 26 minutes, breaking the course record by almost 2 hours.

Keith is the Irish record holder for 100km, and his family say he'll return to Ennis in the coming days.
