Gardaí in Clare intercepted a driver travelling 60 kilometres over the speed limit near Bunratty.
The driver was caught travelling at 158 kilometres per hour in a 100 zone yesterday evening, by Gardaí carrying out a speed checkpoint on the N18 dual carriageway.

In a post on the Garda Twitter account, they say proceedings against the driver are now underway.
